Egypt–Saudi Arabian artificial intelligence startup Velents.ai has launched Agent.sa, the region’s first fully integrated Arabic-speaking AI employee, backed by $1.5 million in new funding. The Velents.ai Agent.sa launch marks a significant milestone in enterprise AI for the Arab world, introducing an intelligent digital co-worker designed to manage customer service, data processing, and communication across voice calls, WhatsApp, and other platforms—natively in natural Arabic.
Founded in 2021 by Mohamed Gaber and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib, Velents began as an AI-powered recruitment platform before pivoting in 2023 to become a full-scale enterprise AI company. With Agent.sa, the startup is shifting the paradigm from traditional software tools to autonomous AI agents that function like human employees—understanding context, responding in culturally relevant Arabic, and integrating seamlessly into daily business operations.
Unlike generic AI assistants trained primarily on English-language data, Agent.sa is engineered specifically for the linguistic and operational nuances of the Middle East. It can process dialects across the Arab world, from Egyptian Colloquial Arabic to Gulf variants, enabling businesses to deliver personalized, high-efficiency customer experiences without language barriers.
The newly secured $1.5 million in funding comes from a group of angel investors, including senior executives from Google, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and other multinational firms—underscoring growing confidence in localized AI solutions that address regional market needs.
According to Velents, Agent.sa can connect with more than 20 enterprise systems, including CRMs, ERP platforms, payment gateways, and logistics software. This interoperability allows the AI agent to perform end-to-end tasks such as booking appointments, resolving customer inquiries, processing transactions, and updating records—all in real time and in Arabic.
The solution is already being piloted across high-volume sectors such as banking, telecommunications, e-commerce, and logistics, where demand for 24/7 multilingual support and operational efficiency is rapidly increasing. By automating routine interactions, Agent.sa frees up human staff to focus on higher-value activities while reducing response times and operational costs.
Through this launch, Velents aims to transform how organizations across the Arab region operate—replacing fragmented software workflows with intelligent, conversational AI colleagues that speak the language of their customers and employees.
“Agent.sa isn’t just a chatbot—it’s a digital employee,” said a company spokesperson. “We’re moving beyond translation to true understanding, enabling businesses to scale service quality without scaling headcount.”
As AI adoption accelerates globally, the Velents.ai Agent.sa launch highlights a growing trend: the demand for hyper-localized, linguistically authentic AI solutions that reflect regional identity and business practices. For Middle Eastern enterprises, this represents not only a technological upgrade but a cultural one—where innovation speaks their language, literally.
With plans to expand integration capabilities and industry-specific use cases, Velents is positioning itself at the forefront of a new wave of Arabic-first enterprise AI—one where artificial intelligence doesn’t just serve the region, but belongs to it.
