Candy giant TomTom has celebrated two promising music talents, Lukuman “Leekee” Kamilu and Haruna “Dannyboi” Mohammed, by awarding them cash incentives and professional backing following the ‘Breathe Through It Verse Challenge’ held in Agege, Lagos. The initiative aimed to provide a platform for young creatives to showcase their skills while gaining access to structured guidance within the creative sector.

Abidemi Ajayi, Category Manager for Gum and Candy at Cadbury West Africa, stated in a release that TomTom’s dedication to fostering grassroots creativity led to the decision to honor two contestants instead of one during the Agege leg of the talent hunt.

“What we experienced in Agege was truly remarkable. The energy, the storytelling, the artistry—these young talents delivered unforgettable performances,” Ajayi said. “At TomTom, we are passionate about amplifying the voices of the next generation. The exceptional performances by Leekee and Dannyboi showed us that sometimes, recognizing just one winner isn’t enough.”

Leekee clinched the top prize, walking away with N1 million in cash, a six-month supply of TomTom candy bars, and a spot at the TomTom Breathe Academy , a hub for creative mentorship and brand development. Dannyboi, named first runner-up, received N300,000, a six-month supply of TomTom candy bars, and a place in the academy.
