Silverbird’s World of Records (SWORD) is proud to announce that Lilian Madubulum, a 27-year-old dancer from Anambra State, has set a new milestone in the world of endurance dancing. Demonstrating extraordinary determination and resilience, Lilian danced continuously for an incredible 55 hours and 49 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by Kafayat ‘Kaffy’ Shafau in 2005 by nine minutes.
The dance marathon, which began on Friday, November 1, 2024, brought together 25 contestants, but it was Lilian who stood out, driven by her goal to overcome stereotypes about her physique and abilities. Her dedication and spirit have earned her the top prize of 1 million naira and secured her place as a role model for Nigerians everywhere.
“Lilian’s achievement is a true testament to her talent and perseverance,” said Jacob Akinyemi Johnson (JAJ), Chief Creative Officer of Silverbird Group. “We are thrilled to see SWORD become a platform for incredible Nigerians like Lilian, who embody the strength and determination to reach extraordinary heights.”

Following her historic win, Lilian is set to engage with the media on a large scale, with appearances scheduled across radio, television, and social media. This spotlight will further her career and provide her with unprecedented opportunities to share her inspiring journey with the world.
Silverbird’s World of Records congratulates Lilian Madubulum on her exceptional feat and looks forward to seeing her continued success. Her accomplishment is a powerful reminder that with hard work and resilience, anything is possible.
