Pan-African Fintech Chipper Cash Restarts US Operations After Strategic Shift

0

Pan-African fintech leader Chipper Cash is back in business for US users after a two-month hiatus. The company streamlined its operations, consolidating its workforce presence in Africa. This strategic shift allows US customers to once again leverage Chipper Cash’s services to send money to loved ones in key African markets: Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, and Uganda.

Committed to user experience, Chipper Cash has optimized its account top-up process, providing dedicated bank details for seamless transactions. Sending money across Africa has never been easier with Chipper Cash. To experience these improvements, users should update the Chipper app on the Apple App Store or Google Play.

In 2023, Chipper Cash marked its US entry by securing money transmitter licenses in all 50 states, showcasing its dedication to regulatory compliance and global expansion ambitions. However, an unforeseen banking partnership hurdle in January forced a temporary pause in their US money transfer services.

Despite the pause, Chipper Cash remains a force to be reckoned with in the Pan-African fintech space. Bolstered by over $305 million in funding from prominent investors like Ribbit Capital and Bezos Expeditions, the platform boasts 5 million verified users with a strong base of 1.4 million active users every quarter.
