Former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan will join other prominent figures at the upcoming African Leadership Biblical Initiative (ABLI) conference to discuss the importance of value-based leadership in Africa.

The conference, themed “Value-Based Leadership: Model for Africa,” will be held from October 21 to 24, 2024, at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre in Abuja. The General Secretary of the Bible Society of Nigeria, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, announced the event during a press briefing in Lagos.

ABLI is a non-partisan and non-denominational initiative that seeks to promote personal and cultural transformation through leadership guided by biblical values. The conference aims to address the pressing challenges facing Africa, including poor leadership, greed, corruption, and mismanagement.

The conference will feature distinguished speakers, including former Chief Justice of South Africa, Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, and founder/CEO of Carmel Global Capital, Dr. Zienzi Dillon. Plenary sessions will focus on the values of social harmony, justice, integrity, and wisdom.

A youth assembly session, themed “Arise and Shine: Raising a New Generation of Transformational Leaders,” will be addressed by Pastor Poju Oyemade and Dr. Vishal Mangalwadi.

The ABLI conference is expected to provide a platform for African leaders to discuss and explore ways to implement value-based leadership principles and promote positive change on the continent.
