The Nigerian-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce has taken a significant step towards fostering stronger economic ties between the two countries. The chamber recently held its first breakfast meeting and induction ceremony, inducting 30 new members.

The event highlighted Hungary’s rich history, scientific advancements, and technological innovations. Chamber President Spencer Onosode encouraged members to leverage these strengths to explore new business opportunities.

Izabella Abia-Okon, the chamber’s Business Development Director, provided insights into Hungary’s business landscape, emphasizing untapped market potential and opportunities for collaboration.

Banji Akinsola, a new member with firsthand experience studying and working in Hungary, shared his perspective on the country’s vast opportunities. He encouraged fellow members to explore the Hungarian market and leverage the strong cultural ties between the two nations.

Dr. Modupe Irele, former Ambassador to Hungary and the Balkan Region, noted the growing recognition of the Nigerian market by Hungary. She advised members to focus on sustainable sectors like medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, and innovative technology.

By fostering stronger business relationships and facilitating cross-border trade, the Nigerian-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce aims to contribute to the economic growth of both nations.
