The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has unveiled plans for the 2025 edition of its flagship MSMEs Fair , designed to strengthen small businesses and foster a more supportive regulatory environment. Themed “Galvanising MSMEs for Economic Growth and Stability,” the event will take place on May 6, 2025 , at NECA House in Lagos .
The fair aims to equip micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with essential tools, resources, and strategic networks to navigate Nigeria’s challenging business landscape. According to NECA’s Director-General, Mr. Adewale Smatt Oyerinde , MSMEs are the “lifeblood of Nigeria’s economy” and play a pivotal role in national development.
Oyerinde highlighted that the fair is tailored to provide entrepreneurs with practical solutions to overcome economic uncertainties, regulatory hurdles, and scalability challenges.
A major highlight of the fair will be the keynote address by Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi , CEO of FATE Foundation and a renowned advocate for MSME development. She is expected to share transformative insights on innovative strategies for sustaining and growing small businesses in Nigeria.
Another unique feature of the event is the interactive sessions with key regulatory bodies. Entrepreneurs will engage directly with agencies responsible for licensing, compliance, taxation, and business registration. These sessions aim to simplify bureaucratic processes and create a more enabling business environment.
Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their products and services, connect with potential investors, and explore new markets. The fair will offer critical knowledge on digital transformation , access to finance , and strategies for sustainable business growth.
NECA emphasized that the fair aligns with its broader mission of promoting enterprise development and economic resilience. “By empowering MSMEs with the right support and information, we aim to stimulate job creation, innovation, and long-term economic stability,” NECA stated.
The 2025 MSMEs Fair is set to attract a diverse range of stakeholders, including financiers, tech experts, regulators, and industry leaders, all committed to advancing Nigeria’s MSME sector.
As MSMEs remain central to Nigeria’s economic growth, NECA’s 2025 fair promises to be a transformative platform for entrepreneurs seeking practical solutions, networking opportunities, and regulatory clarity to scale their businesses.
