The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Masterpiece Resource Development Centre (MRDC) , Modupe Oyekunle , has reaffirmed her organization’s dedication to fostering entrepreneurial sustainability following the successful completion of a transformative training initiative in Lagos.
According to a statement, MRDC recently wrapped up the International Labour Organisation’s (ILO) Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Training-of-Trainers programme , delivered in collaboration with the NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women . The initiative aims to deepen entrepreneurial competence among youth and women in Nigeria and across Africa.
Oyekunle explained that MRDC was established to discover, develop, and deploy youth and women entrepreneurs by building capacity, encouraging mentorship, creating networking platforms, and fostering a collaborative ecosystem where entrepreneurs can thrive collectively.
“We realized we needed a strong internal faculty of trainers who could not only train but also guide others based on real-world experience,” she stated. “This realization led us to adopt the globally recognized ILO Train-the-Trainer certification, which has significantly elevated the quality of business support we offer.”
