The Lagos State Government has announced a N20 million investment in the upcoming Lagos State Tourism Naijabrand Chick Trade Fair. The funds will be used to secure booths for small-scale vendors who might otherwise be unable to participate due to financial constraints. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, aims to empower businesses of all sizes and foster economic growth within the state.

In addition to the N20 million investment, an extra N5 million has been allocated through the “Sanwo Ti Sanwo E” initiative, a program designed to support Lagos residents. This brings the total investment to N25 million, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering economic development and inclusivity.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Arts, Culture and Tourism, Idris Aregbe, emphasized the importance of this initiative in providing equal opportunities for all businesses to participate and succeed in the trade fair. He also noted that the “Sanwo Ti Sanwo E” initiative has already distributed over N100 million to support Lagos residents, further demonstrating the government’s dedication to the well-being of its citizens.

With a target of N5 billion in sales, the NBC trade fair is expected to significantly boost the local economy. Aregbe encouraged all Lagos residents to participate in the event, emphasizing the importance of shared prosperity.

This investment reflects the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to empower local businesses, stimulate economic growth, and create opportunities for all residents. The Naijabrand Chick Trade Fair is poised to be a major event that will benefit both businesses and consumers alike.
