Indonesia-Africa Forum Delivers Significant Business Deals

The recently concluded 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum in Bali has yielded substantial results for bilateral trade between Indonesia and African countries. A total of 32 business partnership deals, valued at over $3.5 billion, were signed during the event.

The Nigerian delegation, led by Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, and the President of the Nigerian Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI), Ishmael Balogun, played a key role in securing these deals.

During the 3-day forum, industry-specific business forums were held for countries including Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa, covering topics like mining, agriculture, renewable energy, health, and food security. The 3rd edition of the Nigerian Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF 2024) also took place, attracting notable participants from both regions.

The business deals signed at the Indonesia-Africa Forum are expected to significantly boost the economies of both regions through increased trade, investment, and collaboration. This will lead to job creation, economic growth, and development.

The forum has demonstrated the growing importance of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Africa and the potential for mutually beneficial cooperation.
