Gold-youth, a pan-African youth organization, is celebrating 20 years of empowering young African leaders. Since its inception, the organization has been instrumental in unlocking the potential of Africa’s youth, transforming them into social innovators and entrepreneurs. With a strong presence in South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, and the DRC, gold-youth is now setting its sights on expanding its impact to more African nations by 2032.
Over the past two decades, gold-youth has achieved remarkable milestones: empowering 127,000+ Young Africans, developing 90,000 Peer Educators, and facilitating 4,000 Jobs and Micro-Businesses.
Gold-youth’s impact is evident in the lives of young people like Candice, who credits the organization for empowering her to start her own business. The organization’s innovative approach, which combines peer mentorship with practical skills training, has yielded significant results, including increased school performance, enhanced character and purpose, reduced risk behaviors, and boosted employability.
Gold-youth’s founder and CEO, Susannah Farr, emphasizes the organization’s commitment to empowering young Africans and shaping a brighter future for the continent.
